space out ; breathe

Hi Anon, do I know you? Whoever you are, I had no idea things seemed pretty well. But they should be all peachy soon.

It be great if I could go on holiday, visualize calm, made time for a massage, find time to head for yoga, learn the one sport i find difficult or doing something theraputic for my mental health.

This is the cue to say Love isnt lame. Some would be good actually. In its absence, tip toeing through lilies would suffice.

Anything but having deadlines on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week.

peaches and cream

I hope she's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
Otherwise, that would be a real pity.

There're some things money just cant buy:

Things like the satisfaction of walking home on a chilly winter evening, all alone, with a cuppa Mocha to warm your body. Letting the traffic stay within peripheral vision. Appreciating the prettier side of the road. Solitude can bring about such vasts amounts of emotional release. Everyone should try it sometime somehow.

Or the realisation that you're losing that spark in your life. Some call it passion, others call it motivation. Lamers call it love. I'm fairly certain my context is passion. The days are taking on a surreal nature. I look forward to Friday only because it will be the start of a new month. This is possibly characteristic behavior of a kid surviving the end of Winter. I'd like to think its because I havent found life wholesome enough.

I need that little something. It might be drama, it could be dance. Anything to make me smile like I really mean it.

To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backBone and a funnybone.

-Reba MCentire from Comfort From a Country Quit.

the walk back from uni didnt help

I am a person who would take news in my stride - you name it, i'll take it. Good or bad.

But this one. This isnt news. This is a fact and is too intimidating.

I feel like a Berroca Vic C pill thats sizzling in the glass of water.

And apparently they SIGH too.

To top it all off, I cant decided what song to comfort myself with.

WOW. Life rocks.

Very Apt for today's.

This is insane.

I'm back in Melbourne for no more than three weeks, and I'm off to Singapore. Things're starting to fall in place, and its time to usher in the September break. Something must be a little messed up. Dude, I'm having more breaks than school weeks! But hey, not complaining. Not. At. All.

Before all that, my room needs to be organized. Otherwise, my brain cant function well. I know, anal retentive. But my room would be an organized mess during all other occasions.

I felt like showing people photos. Hope you enjoyed them :)

lets pretend it hasnt ended

these HPAIR BFFAEs rock. and here's why.

when you hardly sleep for 5 days, but dont give a shit.. thats the sign of an amazing time. what a trip.
-Amit

I've never had this much concentrated fun in Singapore despite living here for 8 years
- Robin

Definitely a blast hanging out with you guys. Singapore is my new favoriteplace and I will certainly be back. Special thanks to Robin, Charmaine, and Xiaomin for the hospitality! You guys know how to hold it down. -Aneesh

5 days, 120 hours, lots of laughter, much alcohol, coffee, uncountable friendships and this

one

experience

was

a

blast.

its easy, but you gotta try.

Konrad Adenauer once said: History is the sum total of things that could have been avoided.

I disagree.

The past week of my life has been nothing short of eventful.

I'm aware I promised details. Before that, I need to get my lifestyle back together again. rather baffling really, how much can disintegrate in 5 days and 4 nights.

The taxi driver who sent me back to IH told me he could drive a cab while pursuing his Masters at RMIT. So I hear its all about getting to class on time, attending lectures and time management.

Its all about being smart. When everyone is stuck on an island, or caught in a lift. Or is persuading someone from committing suicide, no one is gonna ask what you major in. They probably couldnt bother about the distinctions you've managed on your academic cert.

Most dont see it. But the way I see it, all you need is to be street smart. And sufficiently organized.

On that note, excuse me while I get my Melbourne life back in one piece.

this isnt here because i have nothing to say

You Are Sunrise

You enjoy living a slow, fulfilling life. You enjoy living every moment, no matter how ordinary.
You are a person of reflection and meditation. You start and end every day by looking inward.
Caring and giving, you enjoy making people happy. You're often cooking for friends or buying them gifts.
All in all, you know how to love life for what it is - not for how it should be.

Absolute truth in each word, this is unthinkable. These Blogthings are awfully accurate.

Monday, August 21, 2006

now, tell me, how do i do this 4 days.

You read this sentence. Then you look at the time posted. You wonder why. Why is she blogging when she's supposed to be at a conference? Then you think...probably not too hard. But she tells you the answer anyway, "cos thats what she does". She informs about how glad she is to have skipped a trip down to MAS this morning or the Singapore Chamber of Commerce this afternoon.

She crawled out of bed on this day, only to realise, "gee its Monday". Looks at the clock to note its 2.30pm and this is the first breather in the last ....120 hours. Its very plausible that she's had no more than a few hours of sleep each time in the last 5 days.

Or better still, that visitng Singapore as a tourist is pretty damn fun.

Details later.

Peace Out, YO.

Could it be a sign?

The taxi drivers in Melbourne were protesting just yesterday, because one of their workers were killed on the job. Them rallying means I have no cab to the airport. Maybe I shouldnt fly home.

The airport rules are insane. So I hear they confiscate lip gloss as well. Wow, how some women would die without that. thats not me, but maybe I shouldnt fly home.

I will be missing two massive birthday celebrations. Maybe I shouldnt fly home.

The only little teeny weeny problem is, I have to.

I have to eat some wanton mee.
I have to meet the family.
I have to listen to some part of me.
Which says my rhyming is pretty witty!

Oh dear. I did not just do that. Whoops.

Stuck in Reverse

it is quite possible that...

a) the departments forgot how torturous it is to have no school and only one hour of class at 5.15 in the evening.

b) it never occurred to me how much tea i drink. investing in a pot and several tins of T2 tea has been noted on my shopping list.

c) listening to songlists which triggers nostalgia leaves you unaccomplished. well, academically speaking of course.

d) understanding why free trade is unfair was never a concern till briefing papers made this interest worthwhile.

e) i will be in singapore on Thursday evening and will be returning on the 22nd.

f) i am inherently Singaporean, but not quite in the same thought.

g) i'm learning to appreciate the idiosyncrasies of human nature

f) girl boxers are comfortable but i havent come to terms with that.

h) it was never my intention to type such a list when this box popped up.

WKW, you my man.

you vary your distance
you stay to the rear, to the right
never more than a few cars behind.

its all about patience
percentages, time.

if you get too close, move into their blindspot

if you lose them, just keep moving,
hope for the best.

out in the open, distance in subjecive
you can let the target ride the horizons
so long as you know their patterns

the waiting is the hard part
your mind wonders.
wondering how it'd be like:
watching your own life from far away.

on foot, its the same
distance patterns anticipation
if the target doubles back, dont over react.

whatever you do, dont get too close
never meet their eyes.

there's always something waiting at the end of the road
if you're not willing to see what it is
you probably shouldnt be out there in the first place.

lights will guide you there

This is my weekend in a picture.
Joy :)

Last Friday was the first time I met Shu since both of us got here. Hers for the first time and mine was a return trip. Our chit chat/catch up session made me realise how surreal my time here has been. Its quite incredible those 3 years has breezed past since I stepped into this metropolis. And its a little daunting that majority of us will graduate next year. At the same time, we're stuck in this reverse where we return to secondary school memos to comfort ourselves.

My time here, like most things, hasn’t turned out to be what I expected. That is part and parcel of the eventful Melbourne life; the obscure twist and turns we ride on. It was never my intention to pursue at Media and Communications Degree. It was never my plan to live in college. And it was never on my agenda to plan my future at the age of 16.

No regrets on this ride, and I wouldn’t have taken it any other way.

cruise this trip

Of all the languages I've heard so far, my bet is Spanish tops the list as sexiest.

So quieres beber conmigo
Quiero sentir tu cuerpo
Haz el amor conmigo
Ya no me dejes solo

Good on you li. I think..I should start learning.

HOYEAH.

After skipping two tutorials which end the week,

You wish you had superb time management for other really important
things such as these:

sitting in the centre of the artic circle...

or in the middle of stockholm city..

better still, that you lived by the beach so a little hermit crab would call your not-so-light blue slippers home..

before we get too old

show me a garden thats bursting into life..

Right. The smart words of Snow Patrol. I think this time tomorrow, I'd be in lying in my bed..dead. As a log, of course.

I.need.sleep.to.get.better. Its times like this that the resistance is futile. You see, I am undeniably morhping into a woman. The sort which thinks A and does B. Oh dear me.

One of my subjects make me justify actions in a more comprehensive, coherent and cogent sort of way. Not that I'm complaining, really. Who'd want to converse with a stuttering, nonsensical person right?

I better stop blabbering on.

Shoutout: HELLO KEEbear! Hope you had a safe flight to Labuan. May the force be with yoU.

"Remember to smile always and give hugs out since they ARE free. No cost to you."

before heading to bed...

You Are a Natural Flirt

Believe it or not, you're a really effective flirt.
And you're so good, you hardly notice that you're flirting.
Your attitude and confidence make you a natural flirt.
And the fact that you don't know it is just that more attractive!

Now..Really..
