a lot of love and affection

I'm back after trvelling a fair bit of Victora.!

Its been heaps of fun over from Corryong (that was me and steph at Emm's), Geelong, Torquay, Lorne, Great Ocean Road, 12 Apostles, Tower Hill, Cunningham Pier, Geelong etc. That was nothing short of a road trip. (We have a trip song. and now that, that, is something).

Believe me when I say there is no feeling like sitting back and soaking in the satisfaction of a kick ass holiday.

For now, life's a little tanner, heavier and heaps happier. Will be back with details.

DEN, LI, CHAR: yes deears, low down will be emailed :) and details'll be up here in a tick. <3

Take it cos I know you'll need it

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done
And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it any where
Away from here
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you can not hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
Louder, Louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say
To think i might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyes
I nearly do
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you can not hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
Louder, Louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say
Slower, slower
We don't have time for that
All I want's to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads
Have heart, my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if its just for a few days
Making up for all this mess
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you can not hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

but every single time i do

If my mum was aware of the amount of money I am about to spend on my next shopping spree, she might, just might, suffer from a heart attack. Today has been an absolutely productive day - in the online window shopping sense.

The pretty floral camis, the cardis, and the tassel bags. :) :) And thats just from one store! I am reaching the brink of insanity as I become more in touch with my feminine side. This is actually pretty egggciting.

Where have I been the past few years of my life.

Those clothes/ accessories better still be on the rack when I get back from Great Ocean Road. Or I'd be devastated.

The heater isnt on

I am feeling hungry and almost starving. THis i strange since I ate Fish n Chips just now. That bottomless stomach, I really cant do much if it expands horizontally, can I. So here I am sitting down using Kei's laptop just because my internet is mocking me. And I cant be bothered to head to the kitchen to warm up my Bismi Meegoreng. Two reasons. Kei is sleeping. And its too cold. You see, my heater has been mocking me too. In short, I am chilling in laziness.

Hello, we're back to IH till Sunday then its off for Great Ocean Road.

And DEN, its CHARMAINE YEE KAH YAN.

YAN with an A in the middle. Not E darling.

we have 6 dogs in da house

I am living the life.

Making pavlovas, white choc macadamia nut cookies, lasagne and all sorts for tea etc etc. Whoever said working women need to spend hours in the kitchen to whip dinner up was some sort of a gooondu and quite like the sammi. O and at the mo, we're waiting for the choc chip cookies to bake. awesome foursome lovely dovey! :)

On top of that, my life has been very eventful with milking cows, feeding poddies and spending time out in the farm on a nice lil rider. :) And a cow shatting on emma, stephie being kicked by a poddie! (giving her a nice lil extra knee cap). Very nnice. pictures will be uploaded soon. Well, soon.

the cleaner lady worked this mystery

Mysterious. Mystery. I have no idea who reads this. The way the metre hits.

But just for update’s sake,

Its been Leah’s 21st at the Yacht Club @ Ballarat.

That was followed by a night’s sleep on creaky wooden floor of Leah’s spare place. No sleeping bag and a very full on heater. I lived to tell the tale.

Then I was never quite so hangover-hungry. After a bacon egg and cheese sandwich we’re on the road at 11, 2 hours drive into Melbourne.

Hopped on the V line to Bendigo, grabbed Em’s ute and stayed on the road.

A detour and 12 hours later, steph, em and me arrived at 11pm.

For now, I think I’ll be dreaming cows over the moon, so good night and good luck.

she was me

The greatest oak was once a little nut who held its ground.

i dont understand how they do it

How do people lie awake at night and not be able to sleep?

The minute I put my head on the pillow, poooof.

I hope missy candice chua is fast asleep. And woman if you're reading this, I hope your jap test goes well!

my favourite green mug

I do realise people read blogs for much of its entertainment value. I have also recently found out that readers spend about 10 seconds on each Internet Window they visit. What I havent realised is how to track the readership.

Now that took up 5 of the 10 seconds.

In the next 5 seconds, you will understand why I'm typing this. There is a simple reason. It is 2am and an entry is posted almost daily at this time. Lets just say, you asked me how my day was. And I replied by saying

"It was all about East Asia, Japan, and instabilty".

I know, I've just wasted about 20 seconds of your day, and also pretty sure it couldnt get as intriguing as my 2000 word assignment.

How awesome is that. The clock is ticking away. 25 seconds!

Dont say those words

A grampians trip would do me so much good right now.

It may just reduce stress or its induced levels of serotonin!

today, i ran.

Shock, horror, shame, shame! I am unfit. Period.

I ran to from the tram stop to John Medley to submit my essay. From this, I gather my middle name is officially Last Minute. That said, doing work under pressure does make life a little more exhilirating. Those who have pulled all nighters know that trepidation! :)

The essay was in the box at 4.57pm. Deadline was 5pm. Never mind that I exceeded the 10% by 200 words. Or made two errors in my Bibliography. Whoops, but I'll get over it.

My solitary walk back made me realise two things.

1) I probably have a stomach ulcer.
2) I am unfit

This is my cue to go running sometime tomorrow. Its about time, my body says. Who gets out of breadth running from less than 300 metres? I'm sure the Microbiology people had a good laugh watching me sprint to John Medley. At least I can console myself that I've got more of a life and a more interesting one at that.

Hey Nadia! Yes of course I remember you :) Girl who loves piercing studs. Right? Hope everything's going okay for you!

I feel like i have 5 more hours to live.

i just dont get it, let alone the men

i dont get it. i really dont.

i dont get why i never learn from mistakes or why i make them in the first place.
i dont get why year after year i sit back and realise there're that one thing thats still missing.
i dont get why i'm so analystical about human behavior or why i didnt take psych. instead, i took a media and communications degree which demands deadlines next week - monday, wed and thurs.

do u think anyone in this big universe could give me an answer?

HELLO. HAPPY SATURDAYS !!!
(i am also a tad insane)

this is on jia's cupboard..and its caught my attention at least twice so its deserves to be here:

its worth sharing with the precious ones :)

Until one is committed
there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back,
always ineffectiveness.

Concerning all acts of initiative and creation
there is one elementary truth,
the ignorance of which kills countless ideas
and splendid plans;
that the moment one definitely commits oneself
then Providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help one
that would never otherwise have occurred.

A whole stream of events issue from the decision,
raising in one's favor all manner
of unforeseen incidents and meetings
and material assistance which no one could have dreamt
would have come his way.

I have learned a deep respect
for one of Goethe's couplets:

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it."

Dui Mian de Nu Hai Kan Guo Lai

The height of the ice cream...worrying.
really.

Kei's expression...priceless.

Specs are cool. Period.

I wonder how many would understand the song title. Anyway, its 2am (ONCE AGAIN!). This fettish for staying up late is here to stay. If it works for me, why not right.

Blogging has become some sort of therapy for me. Instead of going on MSN, I voice my thoughts here. And talk myself into thinking I'm actully having some real time conversation. I dont know why I do this to myself when I have practically the entire Melbourne population up with me at this hour.

I do actually have better things to do.

whats tasty is usually bad for you

I just got off the phone after I cajoled Yingyi into coming back for lunch. My argument was that the consumption of instant noodles is deterimental to the human body. It is, if you seriously think about it. My guess is that its nutritional value is no more than a can of baked beans. And it doesnt make you fart, so all's cool.

And now that we're talking food, I could really do with a night at Desire, Min Jiang, Bar and Billard or One Rochester! Its been a while since I wine and dined with style or the family.

Live by two words: Chill Out.

The jaw, the ankle and a little tinge of pain.

Time for me to work some magic baby!

Oh my goodness. The surveys people come up with. They've now reduced the ideal guy to a particular height, eye colour, sport, duties as a boyfriend and the list goes on. This is quite ridiculous. Maybe I'm not in the most qualified person to be criticizing these people. Dude I'm not even a guy and I find it rather insulting!

Gosh, imagine the list for ideal girl. Actually, dont.

You know when you're hungry...

There're times when my lunch is 5 mintues worth of a chicken sushi roll and a cuppa caramel latte. I wouldnt even be surprised if they remembered my order every week. But I need to eat. Otherwise, my tummy would trump the mother of all things: attention. Okay fine, not mother of all things. But you gotta admit it right. Attention span during a 4 hour straight day...important. So I'm thinking about all the food candice's 21st birthday had. And why I didnt eat despite all the temptation around me. And now, I sit here in my room, waiting to go down for dinner, or affendi to get back. And meanwhile all I can muster is just enough energy to ramble about WHY I am on the brink of starvation.

You see...I need food. Sometime soon. Or the girl might go insane.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!

all bred together :) all smiles. <3 <3
you deserve to smile that wide dear. it was your day, everyday is anyway :)

This one darling turned 21 yesterday!

First up, let me apologize for making you temporarily disasppointed. You know I mean no harm. And I really meant it when I say "Can't be there. Assignments. You know.". Wouldnt have missed it for the world! And deep down you know that.

She's quite the nationalistic one. Those red and white forks.
She's also the insane one. Food more than sufficient to feed the hungry people in Africa. You gotta take my word for it. It was...a massive food fest.

Wow that lady is one fine domestic goddess.

I hope you like my little present babe. Thats just part 1. :)

Everyone seems to be turning 21. I wonder how my 21st be like. Sometime in 2 years we'll think about it.

On a rather random note, I feel like clubbing. Or chilling.

Stare it all out

The Age featured an article Shout, Shout, Let it all out.

Stressed bankers in London are being offered a new way to unwind - singing lessons. "These people are so stressed," she says. "I was trying to distribute postcards about my classes and normally I don't have difficulty getting in contact with people, but it was so hard to get eye contact."

Others have come up with less conventional stress busters. A bar in China lets customers punch staff and smash glasses to unleash pent-up anger, while in the Philippines, residents flock to a restaurant in Gerona where they can smash plates against a "wall of fury".

I got a better solution: Walk down to your nearest DVD rental store and purchase Anger Management. And while you're at it, head round the other corner to the single soundtrack for I'm So Happy or Can't Smile Without You.

Do whatever it takes to get you through the day. Or just stare it out. 5 mins would cut it.

its 2am again

I have this thing for writing early in the morning. Maybe thats when words come to me most quickly. Maybe its when all is quiet and I can actually have uninterrupted thought processes. Maybe its because I'm sitting in the living room, occupying the entire round table and need to take a break from writing my analysis.

It is due today, thats very right. I emailed to get an extension. No response. I probably didnt get it. Now, whats this whole notion behind silence as consent which I hear so often? Oh. Not applicable to academia. Right.

Today, I realised again, like most times when I do my assignment, that I am intolerant to clutter. My room is quite the state of the art mess, so I move my stuff out and work in the living room. It doesnt solve the problem because its still a mess. I should clear it up some time end of this week.

I feel like typing more and this baffles me. My mouse should be clicking on the other window. The window which reads Analysis, rather than Blogger: *gotta love. The other rather strange phenomenon is the jumping numbers of the web counter. I have no idea who reads this blog. Someone really encouraging pointed out a plausible solution: "Dont be too happy, it could be that people read those "next" blogs at the main page".

It isnt a matter of number. I find it quite amazing that people read the rambles of my day to day life. Wow, someone somewhere sometime has gotta love it. Or who knows.. hate it but still continue to read this. Either way, HELLO to my fellow readers. And to those who check this site daily, I know who you are, thanks for checking up on me. You guys know there're some things I just wont verbalize. :)

I made another realization today. That when I am stressed and disturbed, I would occasionally lose my sense of humour. Thats so assume I started off with some, of course. All it took was for Yingyi to mention, "There're more trees in Canberra than human beings", for me to do a Merlion. That is, to spit out the water in my mouth. I have absolutely no idea how that humoured me, but I assure you, it did.

This is the behavior of a university student after 3 cups of coffee, a quarter pounder meal, Oh bear in mind: She's been sitting before her laptop since 5 in the evening.

Cheerios amigoes valentinos!

Suspended clear in the sky.

My biological clock has been turned around, about and almost inside out. Its 3pm and my day has only just begun. Welcome o my life.

So I woke to Va's abolutely romantic, heart warming 2nd anniversary entry for her and mike. One word and one word only. SHHHHHCWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! va. You da WOMAN. And I reiterate: If I also tolerate your incessant whining and whinging about everything..would you love me as much? hmn..HMN? But babe, respect. 2 years and I'm here counting with you!

Here's to all the couples who've made it so strong! And 2 hearts for Va.

<3 <3

Lots of love.

Oh and mum's getting discharged today! Thats after minor surgery. In case you're wondering, she's doing okay. :) Do pray for speedy recovery, yes?

Even though she's already received tonnes, I just wish I was home to welcome her home with a bear hug and big bunch of random flowers. Or throw a ridiculously huge surprise in the master bedroom. I feel so helpless sometimes, just messaging her from miles away, not being able to sit with her as she recovered. There is just that much I can do from this distance.

And now I gotta keep my head up cos deadlines are upahead.

the success story

Its so tiny! Its now Absolut-ley creative. Respect to their creative advertising team.

This is over blogging. Read: Essay writing...lapses into ADD.

as you sail up your heavenly stream

Its 18 degress at 2 in the morning. It doesnt feel right. No, winter cannot end. Right. The 4 seasons were meant to be a joke. Right? I am also deceiving myself. Right?

Because love it or hate it, spring is here. Time for the girly ladies to get all frilly with their dresses. Time for the men to show those abs. Which also means time for a bit more exercise to get in shape. Great. Well, round is a shape. but pear is better. Or so I think.

I sound like i'm talking to myself. Which is not far from the truth either.

Okay, fine. I meant to say...anyone wanna go shopping? I may dread enjoying mocha under the blazing sun, but at least I will be dragging my feet in a pretty lil dress. (insert random weight loss method)

That, is by far, the most bimbotic statement I've made today.

Oh.My.God.

good morning, world.

Seriously right. its 4 minutes to 5am on a Saturday morning. I havent completed my briefing paper which was due close to two weeks back. But thats because my tutor's really nice, and let me off. It should be done. I'll finish it soon I guess.

I like this idea of blogs. It gets people conversing. So anyway, my dear li, you take care and as I said before, msg me if anything at all okay. You see, if you're not a frequent reader, you may not understand that my girl friends and me? THIS tight. I'm not actually gay. Right, got that sorted. And I've got absolutely nothing against gays too. Just feel the need to be politically correct today. Just today.

But back to my initial thought. Gosh the updates Friendster can do for you. You could find long lost relatives, have a rather meaningless conversation, see people profess their love, realise people have broken up or gotten together. Then again it depends on how open or truthful the people are. Just like how I state I'm 20 when I'm a year younger. Not the point. Point being, wow, technology age huh.

Ramble for you. Well, it IS 5am and apparently I'm going to support girl's soccer at 10.15 later. Good night to the people in Melbourne. And Good day to those in the States, London etc!

<3 With love.
